SAVE WILDLIFE FOREST ANIMALS & HUMANITARIAN AFFAIRS (SAWFAHA)
Save Wildlife Forest Animals & Humanitarian Affairs (SAWFAHA) is a Somali-led non-governmental
and non-profit organization established in 2023 to address the growing environmental, wildlife, and
humanitarian challenges affecting vulnerable communities across South and Central Somalia.
SAWFAHA was founded with the vision of building resilient communities living in harmony with
nature through sustainable environmental conservation, wildlife protection, humanitarian response,
and community development initiatives. The organization recognizes the strong connection between
environmental sustainability, climate resilience, livelihoods, and human well-being in Somalia.
Operating from its main office in Kolbio, Badade District, Lower Jubba Region, Jubaland State of
Somalia, SAWFAHA works closely with local communities, vulnerable populations, youth, women,
traditional leaders, civil society actors, and development partners to promote sustainable solutions that
protect natural ecosystems while improving human lives.
The organization focuses on preserving wildlife habitats, protecting forests and biodiversity,
responding to humanitarian emergencies, strengthening climate resilience, and supporting vulnerable
populations affected by droughts, displacement, environmental degradation, poverty, and recurring
humanitarian crises
